Prelim 1: Editing and Kuleshov Effect

Editing in making a film is essential as editing helps the director create what he had in mind in the first place.
Editing makes a movie meaningful and it gives the movie a plot instead of having a mixture of sticking shots that have no meaning.
kuleshov effect :
Its the use of one closeup shot of a person's face and putting another shot which changes its meaning
if the person is looking at a plushy means that the person is peaceful or a genuinely happy person but if you put it next to a person who destroys a plushy you think that the person is evil or sadistic.

while creating my own kuleshov effect i didn't take a shot that showed us the face of a person who looks at the plushy before it was destroyed  which somehow changed the clip that we took.
I learnt that the kuleshov effect is quite useful as it can help use the same scene with different shots that shows different feeling that the audience can have from them.
