the props help the movie make sense and it helps the director visualise what he had in mind like costumes as it helps the actors to have a personality that we can identify and relate to or connect them to it through reference or common sense. it can also be used to create a room with certain props to give it a certain meaning or meaning.

the setting helps the audience to understand the time and the location of the movie that the audience are watching
the lighting helps set the mood for the setting
the facial expressions and the movement of the characters shows as well
the make up and the costume reveal the state the character is in
